17–19 April 2009: Isle of Wight International Jazz Festival. Nice jazz festival with a big reputation for quality, variety, value and location - major on the UK calendar. Venues in  greater Ventnor, the “Capital of Jazz in the Deep South” at East Dene in Bonchurch, former home of poet Swinburne set in 10 acres of grounds that run down towards the sea at Monk’s Bay, where the 1920’s inspired Spiegel Theater hosts major acts and the Sea Green Stage, Swinburne Jazz Chill Lounge and the Bluenote Diner all host jazz of all varieties for all ages and tastes. Be sure to buy tickets early whatever age you are. Don’t miss out - headline concerts sold out last year!
